    About this tool

Channel layout matters more than people think: a voice recorded on the left channel only is exhausting to hear on headphones; podcast platforms and smart speakers often expect mono or proper stereo; and some interfaces record left and right flipped. This tool fixes all three cases with sample-accurate channel remixing.

Stereo → mono averages both channels; if one side is silent or broken, use the swap/mix after checking with headphones which side holds the good audio.

    Frequently asked questions

Does stereo → mono lose quality? It loses the stereo width (by design) but keeps all the sound — both channels are mixed, nothing is thrown away.

Why is my voice only in one ear? It was recorded as a stereo file with signal on one channel. Convert Mono → Stereo after a Stereo → Mono pass, or record in mono next time.
