About this tool
Steady noises — fan hum, air-conditioning, tape hiss, room tone — have a consistent frequency fingerprint. FFT noise reduction measures that fingerprint during quiet moments and continuously subtracts it, while leaving changing sounds (your voice) mostly intact. It cannot remove irregular noises like keyboard clicks or other voices, and extreme settings can add a watery artifact, so use the lightest strength that works.
Best workflow: clean first with this tool, then compress and normalize for a finished podcast sound.
Frequently asked questions
Can it remove wind noise? Partly — the rumble filter cuts the low-frequency whoosh. Severe wind clipping cannot be fully repaired by any tool.
Why does Strong sound watery? Very aggressive reduction starts eating into the voice itself. Medium is the sweet spot for most recordings.
Are my files uploaded? No — cleanup runs entirely in your browser.
