YouTube Banner Resizer — 2560×1440 Safe Area
YouTube crops your channel banner differently on TV, desktop, and mobile — the only guaranteed-visible zone is the 1546×423 “safe area” in the center. This tool resizes any image to the full 2560×1440 banner size and draws the safe-area guide right on the live preview, so you can place your text and logo where every device will show them. All in your browser; your images never leave your device.

How it works
- Step 1 — Drop in any image — a photo, a logo layout, anything wide enough.
- Step 2 — Choose Cover (fills the banner, crops edges) or Contain (fits your whole image with a blurred pad). The preview draws YouTube’s 1546×423 safe-area rectangle and dims everything outside it — anything dimmed gets cropped on phones.
- Step 3 — Hit Download Banner. The exported file is a clean 2560×1440 image (the guide lines are preview-only, not in the download).
Device cropping cheat sheet: TVs show the full 2560×1440 · desktops show the wide center strip · phones crop to roughly the 1546×423 safe area. If your channel name and logo sit inside the green box, you’re safe everywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Why does YouTube crop my banner? YouTube displays the same image at different sizes per device — 2560×1440 on TVs, a cropped strip on desktop, and just the 1546×423 center on phones. The safe area is the only zone guaranteed visible everywhere.
Are the guide lines in the downloaded file? No. The green box and dimming are preview-only helpers. The download is a clean 2560×1440 image.
My image is small — will it look blurry? Cover mode upscales to fill 2560×1440, which can soften small images. For best results, start with an image at least 2000px wide.
Are my images private? Yes. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your files never leave your browser, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
