Frequently asked questions
Will this change the meaning of my text? No. Only whitespace is touched — spaces, tabs, and blank lines. Your words, punctuation, and line content stay exactly as they are (unless you tick “Remove blank lines”).
Why does text from PDFs have so many extra spaces? PDFs store text as positioned fragments, so copying often inserts extra spaces and tabs where the layout had gaps. Collapsing spaces and trimming lines restores normal readable text.
Is my text uploaded to a server? No. All cleaning happens locally in your browser — nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
