This tool runs entirely in your browser — convert as many PDFs as you like. Your files never leave your browser.

    How it works

    • Step 1 — Drop in your PDFs. They’re read straight into your browser — nothing leaves your device.
    • Step 2 — Choose your settings: automatic heading detection (lines set in a noticeably larger font become # / ## / ### headings), page separator markers, an optional document title, and a page range for long documents.
    • Step 3 — Hit Convert to Markdown. The tool measures the median body font size, promotes oversized lines to headings, escapes Markdown special characters in body text, and outputs one clean .md file per PDF — ready to copy or download.

Heading detection is a heuristic based on relative font sizes, so documents with uniform text simply get clean paragraphs — the tool never invents structure that isn’t there.
